Foreword of Worth Any Sacrifice:

"Jerry Gibson has been my friend as well as one of my mentors for many years. I first met him when I was on the coaching staff of the University of Michigan's football team. He spoke to a prayer breakfast I had organized for several of my colleagues in Ann Arbor. He later renewed our fellowship after we both moved to Colorado. At our first meeting, he prayed with me in my office in the University of Colorado's football stadium, at which time I dedicated our football program to the Lord Jesus Christ. We went on to win the National Championship two years later. He was also with me at the meeting when Promise Keepers was born.

Jerry's book, Worth Any Sacrifice, reflects the kind of man that I strive to be. Like Isaiah of old, he is one of those rare individuals that come along whose life demonstrates the fact that God's strong hand is upon them. His encounters with angels, as well as his relationships with friends and families, is a model for all to follow."

Bill McCartney
Founder and C.E.O. of Promise Keepers

This is a folk history and inspiring account of a legendary traveling preacher, throughout much of the US, following his service in the South Pacific during World War II. Jerry holds an honorary doctorate from Mid-South Christian College in Memphis, TN and he was a professor of Old Testament for Minnesota Bible College for thirteen years. Along with numerous other academic affiliations, Dr. Gibson served as president of Mid-South Christian College in Mississippi. Currently, Jerry ministers to students at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Readers will be intrigued by the author's recounting of his own encounters with angels!
